Leagues & Ages

London Softball runs two different leagues catering to children of various ages and abilities.  

Below are brief descriptions of each league.  The suggested age ranges refer to a child's age on the upcoming July 31st of the current year.  In exceptional cases, a child may play in a league for older or younger children, but only after consultation with his/her coach and the London Baseball Commissioners.

Jr. Girls Softball (Competitive League)

Junior Girls Softball is for girls who will be 9, 10, or 11 years old on July 31st (generally 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in the American school system).  Alternatively, girls who are 9 or 10 years old may play baseball in the Minors League.  We encourage girls who enjoy baseball to play in that league.

Junior Girls Softball is competitive.  There are umpires, the girls pitch for themselves, and scores and league standings are kept.

Senior Girls Softball (Competitive League)

Senior Girls Softball is for girls who will be 12,13,14, or 15 years old on July 31st (generally 6th-9th graders in the American school system).  Alternatively, 11,12 or 13 year old girls are welcome to sign up to play baseball in the Majors.  Senior Girls Softball is a very competitive league and the games are always very exciting.
